Client: Dakin Contractors
Location: Pepperhill, Gravesend, UK
Date: 2011 -2012
The expansion at Sainsburys, Pepper Hill site, in Gravesend included the relocation of its petrol station. In the re-construction and installation of the site, Dakin Contractors looked to CSD to supply it’s RISE Sealing System.
The new petrol filling station was constructed with a brick front elevation, part returns and the remainder, in light grey composite panels. The kiosk floor area measured 178m2 (14.8 x 12m) and the new forecourt included eight pump islands.
It included the installation of two new underground fuel storage tanks, new fuel pipework, pump islands, fuel pumps, petrol interceptor, associated ducts and drainage new forecourt paving and canopy.
CSD’s RISE Sealing System was specified to seal below and above ground ducting systems.
Dakin Contractors and T.E.Ramm & Co Electrical Contractors were extremely pleased with the product and CSD’s online installation video aided their teams installation to produce their project on time.
Rodney Whitwell of T.E.Ramm & Co Electrical Contractors said, “We were impressed with the ease and speed of installation of the RISE Duct Seal system in all above ground ducting and its certification against VOC & submersion testing.”
The project was so successful that Dakin are looking to work together again with CSD on their next Sainsburys Petrol Station in Bognor.
