Team Size: Working as part of a small duct‑sealing team under the Installation Manager and Leading Hand Installer

Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in specialist installation work. As an Installer, you will work as part of our duct‑sealing team, learning how to install NOFIRNO water‑ and gas‑tight duct sealing systems on major UK infrastructure and energy projects.

You will receive full training, mentoring and on‑site support from experienced installers and the Leading Hand Installer. This role is ideal for someone with a practical mindset, good attention to detail, and a willingness to learn specialist skills in a growing technical field.

As our sealing division continues to expand, there will be opportunities to progress into more senior roles, including, Leading Hand Installer, or Supervisor positions.

Key Responsibilities

Installation Support

  • Assist with day‑to‑day installation activities for NOFIRNO duct sealing systems.
  • Prepare work areas, materials and tools under guidance from senior installers.
  • Support correct installation, finishing and clean‑up of duct seals.

Learning & Development

  • Learn how to interpret duct‑seal drawings, penetration schedules and manufacturer installation details.
  • Develop practical skills in cable/pipe preparation, sealant application and component fitment.
  • Take part in on‑site training and mentoring sessions.

Quality & Compliance

  • Follow instructions to ensure all works meet CSD standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Check materials and components with support from senior installers.
  • Take pride in delivering neat, accurate and compliant installations.

Safety & Site Conduct

  • Follow RAMS and safe working practices at all times.
  • Wear correct PPE and maintain a safe, tidy work area.
  • Support the team in upholding CSD’s strong safety culture.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Assist with recording installation details, photo evidence and sign‑off documentation.
  • Learn to use OneTrace or similar digital QA systems.

Coordination & Communication

  • Communicate professionally with colleagues, other trades and site management.
  • Report progress, issues or material needs to the Leading Hand Installer.

Material & Equipment Handling

  • Help manage materials responsibly, including storage and preparation.
  • Assist with tool and equipment checks and maintenance.

Travel Flexibility

  • Attend UK sites as required, including overnight stays.

Essential Skills & Experience

(No prior duct‑sealing experience required)

  • Practical, hands‑on approach to work.
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn technical skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety and professional conduct.
  • Reliable, punctual and motivated.

Desirable Qualifications

(Training will be provided if not held)

  • CSCS Labourer or Skilled Worker card.
  • Experience in construction, utilities, mechanical or electrical trades.
  • Familiarity with digital reporting systems (e.g., OneTrace).

Contract Details / Benefits

  • Permanent contract.
  • UK‑wide travel with accommodation and subsistence allowance provided.
  • Typical earnings of £35,000–£40,000 including regular overtime and weekend work.
  • Monday–Friday working pattern, with weekend overtime required.
  • Company van provided (subject to role progression and licence requirements).
  • Company pension scheme.
  • 20 days holiday plus public holidays.
  • Immediate or near‑immediate start preferred.
